1. About StayMate

StayMate is an online marketplace that connects people looking for paying-guest (PG) accommodation with PG owners, and gives owners tools to manage rooms, tenants and rent records. By using StayMate you agree to these terms.

2. The platform's role

StayMate is a listing and management platform. Any rental agreement, deposit, rent payment or house rule is strictly between the tenant and the owner. We do not own or operate the listed properties and are not a party to any stay arrangement.

Always visit a property and verify the owner before paying any deposit or advance. StayMate never asks tenants for advance payments.

3. Listings and content

Owners must publish accurate information — real photos, correct rent, deposit, amenities and availability. Misleading or fraudulent listings may be removed without notice.

Listings marked as verified have passed StayMate's checks at the time of review; tenants should still verify details in person before committing.

4. Accounts

Tenant accounts are for accommodation seekers. Owner accounts are intended for genuine property owners and managers. Administrator access is assigned privately and is never granted by public registration. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

Tenant information stored in the owner dashboard must be used only for managing the tenancy and must not be shared publicly or misused.

5. Payments

StayMate does not process rent payments or deposits in this phase of the product. Rent payment records in the dashboard are tracking tools maintained by the owner. Tenant membership is ₹99 once per account for lifetime access and is independent of any individual PG. Membership remains test-only: payment records do not activate paid membership without verified payment confirmation, and no real money is collected until a secure gateway is configured.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to post false information, harass other users, scrape the platform, or use StayMate for any unlawful purpose.

7. Limitation of liability

StayMate is provided 'as is'. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for disputes, losses or damages arising from arrangements between tenants and owners.
